The day you become content, is the day you STOP growing!

Should we ever be truly satisfied? Clearly, there are times, moments, and situations in life where contentment is and should be accepted. But let’s focus on our health, and our continuous pursuit of a healthier mind, body, and soul.

Quite frankly, we should never be content with our health. You’ve heard the old saying, “your body is your temple,” or “you only have one body, so treat it as if it were your last.” Is there truly a pinnacle of health? In my opinion, no. We need to keep growing every single day to become stronger, or internally healthier; we need to become mentally stronger, or spiritually stronger.

Your health NEEDS to mean more than your vice; more than all your excuses. Show up to the gym and put the work in. Eat the vegetables, even though that burger tastes so much better. Create and deliver the routine that will bless your body with your best health.

Speaking of routine, did you know that the most successful people on the planet, they all have quite a few things in common; one of them being they are obsessed with routine? In routine, you take out the excuses of “I don’t have time,” “I don’t know what to eat,” or “but I Have to have XYZ.” Build a routine if you truly respect your body, health, and goals.

Wake up early, exercise, meditate/pray, eat a healthy breakfast, plan your meals and prepare on Sundays, limit screen time, and diligently put priority on working towards your goals. I love TIME BLOCKING. Even if I put a block in my schedule for 15 minutes, I know that if I work on that particular goal for 15 minutes each day, at the end of that week, I have dedicated almost 2 hours that week towards that particular goal. Prioritize those goals and time block.

Lastly, to continue growing, TRACK. I can’t express the importance of this enough. So many people cringe at the very thought of tracking their food, their workouts, and their progress. But, how on earth are you going to know what is working if first and foremost you don’t give your routine enough time even to work? Dedicate 2 weeks to eating healthier and working out every day. Don’t cheat!!! Give your body time to respond, and write down everything you ate and did during your workout. Track your progress! The book I use to track I absolutely love. Here is a link to it if you are interested.

Let me tell you a little secret. What you do today, you won’t see tomorrow. It takes a week, sometimes 2. But most of us quit before we give our bodies time to adapt. See it through. Track. I promise it’s worth it when you start seeing and feeling those results, that broccoli, and that routine all of a sudden stop looking so bad.

Keep growing! Do NOT become content!
